Last night, I was speaking in front of 7000 Tienshi/LNI members
Tienshi is a Chinese Brand for Health Product, headquartered in Tienjin and spread in 108 countries in the world. Mr Li Jinyuan, the founder and chairman, recieved a Doctor Honoris Causa from UNESCO.
Helmy Attamimi, Chairman of APLI(National Association of Direct Selling ), who is a fulltime consultant for Tienshi Asia told me that he was impressed with this Chinese entrepreneur.
"Mr Li is a very compassionate man, does not only think about money, but about how to help other people as Tienshi MLM distributors all over the world. He is thinking on how to heal people with his Chinese organic products"
Helmy also said that Agus Trilaksono, the co founder of LNI, the main support system of Tienshi, told him that Mr Li's deputy is a Muslim Chinese. While Agus himself is a Javanese Catholic (married to a Chinese), his two partners in LNI are one Javanese and one Betawi Haji.
LNI claims to be the number two in term of number of distributors-one million- and sales value after CNI. In fact, LNI was just established in 2001, just four years ago. LNI is also expanding to other 10 Asian countries. H. Rudy M Noer, the other co founder is the one who reads most of my books. He told me that he was inspired by my ideas in implementing LNI to be the fastest MLM support system in Indonesia.
To me, the presence of Tienshi/LNI in Indonesia is contributing to The Unity of Indonesia (our second principle of Pancasila). How a Chinese products from mainland China is sold thru most Muslim distributors. That is very good to reduce the potential conflicts between Chinese and Muslim Indonesians. And this is in line with what Prophet Mohammad said in Hadits “seek knowledge even unto China.”
Today, China is growing very fast to be the next superpower in the world. Islam is also the fastest growing religion in the world. And Indonesia is not only the biggest Muslim populated country in the world. But also (not so many people realize this) is the biggest overseas Chinese populated Country, outside Greater China.
From that point of view, I only can hope that Tienshi/LNI could become the symbol of Unity of Islam/Chinese in Indonesia. How two great civilizations, mentioned by Samuel Huntington in his famous book "The Clash of Civilizations" as the two that will challenge Western civilizations as the existing dominant one.
